Dr. Edhegard received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, graduating in 2006. He completed his internship at Brooke Army Medical Center, residency in dermatology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, fellowship in immunodermatology at Duke University, and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Edhegard served 13 years on active duty in the US Army, and was rated the #1 physician of any specialty in the entire military by patient satisfaction. His experience and interests include skin cancer, skin surgery, autoimmune blistering diseases of the skin, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and numerous other skin, hair, nail, and mucosal issues. He continues his service in the D.C. National Guard, eats way too much pizza, and loves being outdoors with his wife and children.
